If you had asked me 10 years ago if I would have thought I’d be where I am today, I would have laughed. I went from my dream of being a college orchestra director, to now being a full time mom who changes diapers for a living. I went from eating ice cream every night and regularly gorging myself at restaurants to cutting most sugar and processed food from my diet. It all started with a little research, which blew up into me obsessing over the next thing we could change to continue making our lifestyle more healthy. It all starts with little changes that compound over time, and that’s what my goal is with my blog posts. I want to share some of those little changes with you and make it practical for our busy, daily lives.

There’s a saying that goes, “ignorance is bliss.” I was the type of person who just did what the “experts” and professionals told me. Growing up, we lived a typical American lifestyle with typical American food and habits. We were not concerned about quality of food or lifestyle. However, life has a way of forcing you out of ignorance. As I started developing health problems, I realized that I either needed to take my health into my own hands, or continue to suffering the consequences of “easy” living. Through the years, God has been good to show me a clear direction to improve not only my own health but also the health of my children. I hope to share inspirational stories and experiences in my blog posts that will inspire you to make some changes as well!

How did we start our business together?

It started as two moms just getting together for music lessons. Those music lessons turned into hours of much needed fellowship. As we talked and spent time getting to know each other, we realized how much we had in common with our beliefs in God, food, homeschooling, and trying to live healthier lives. It was interesting how God taught us both different lessons over the years when it came to health. One evening, we started talking about how it would be nice if there was a way to share those thoughts and ideas with other people. Thus the blog was born! We hope you enjoy coming along as we continually share those lessons that God is teaching us along the way.
